Students will use their knowledge of multiplying numbers to help Miriam and Sara determine how many people there are on their block in a particular community.
Students will apply their knowledge of multiplication to use drawings and equations with a symbol to determine the amount of people in each of three 4th-grade classes.
Demi’s dad brought home 3 buckets of jumbo sidewalk chalk for Demi to share with her younger brother during summer break. Unfortunately, Nate got to the chalk first and emptied all three buckets onto the floor. Demi put all the chalk in a row, and Nate counted a total of 45 pieces.
Students will use their knowledge of multiplication to determine how many feet an Olympic gold medalist swam to win gold.
Students will use their knowledge of multiplication to use drawings and equations with a symbol to determine how tall Maria is compared to her younger sister.
